Georgia Heers is an up-and-coming American jazz singer and composer known for her expressive voice and profound musical interpretation.
Georgia Heers is from Greer, South Carolina. She graduated from the Fine Arts Centre in Greenville in 2017 and subsequently began studying jazz at the renowned Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio. A key milestone early in her career was being named a finalist in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. This year, she is touring Europe with the Lincoln Centre Big Band featuring Wynton Marsalis and has just been announced as a semi-finalist in the Herbie Hancock Institute’s 2026 International Jazz Vocal Competition.
Heers has already collaborated with established jazz greats such as Terrell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut, Camila Meza and Clarence Penn. She is supported as a fellow by Chamber Music America. Her eagerly awaited debut album was produced under the artistic direction of multiple Grammy Award winner Cécile McLorin Salvant and is due to be released on the Artwork Records label in June 2027.
