Info

Torsten Goods is one of Germany’s best and most successful jazz guitarists and jazz pop/soul singers.

The 40-year-old is also the winner of the German Music Writer’s Prize and has been nominated twice for the Echo Jazz Award for his for seventh solo albums to date, most of them on the renowned jazz label ACT. With countless tours through Germany, Russia, China and the whole of Europe with his own band, Goods is a permanent fixture on the international scene. He is also involved in many other projects, is a permanent member of Sarah Connor’s band, plays concerts with Till Brönner and Nils Landgren and is responsible for the artistic direction of the Jazz am See/Klassik Am See festival in Erlangen. His last album “Soul Searching” entered the Media Control Jazz Charts at number 2 in September 2023.

After his successful album “Soul Searching”, Torsten is now following with his eighth studio album.  An inspired source of fresh “feelgood music”, influenced by jazz, soul, blues and also the laid-back Westcoast/AOR sounds of the late 70s in California. The album also tells the very personal story of the visual transformation of the “guitarist as well as singer”, according to the renowned Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ), “who has already been called the ‘German George Benson’ for this reason.” His 2025 tour will take Torsten Goods with Jan Miserre on keyboards and piano, Felix Lehrmann on drums and Thomas Stieger on bass, i.e. the band behind the new album, which has been perfectly recorded for fourteen years, all over Germany again in the fall of 2025. But also in Switzerland, Austria, the UK and of course Ireland, the home of his mother and family. The focus of the concerts will be on the new album, but fan favorites from “Soul Searching” and Torsten’s back catalog will not be missing. Every concert on the “Soul Searching” tour will be a unique experience, full of deeply felt, virtuosically played, acoustic happiness-makers. The recipe: “smooth vocals, fast guitars and feelgood grooves”
